Recent Kansas Disasters

Videos and pictures taken from inside the State Library of Kansas temporary quarters and also the hallway leading from the Capitol Building to the unit. These were taken on June 16, 2010 during a very heavy rain storm. Many windows and doors were leaking and seam between two of the trailers began to leak water over the collection. However, there was no damage to the collection due to a staff members quick discovery of the leak. The hallway videos shows a “waterfall” which occurs during certain weather and events (power washing the steps above).
This album has videos, indicated by an icon in the lower left-hand of each image. Others without an icon are just pictures.
